Organized by AmCham’s Business Ethics Committee, under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and in presence of H.E. U.S. Ambassador Vincent Battle, the conference presented the outcome of the committee’s first project on ‘Transparency and Accountability in the Business Community’, prepared in cooperation with USAID/AMIDEAST.
(The project aimed at providing a better understanding of corruption and its effects on the business community, as well as establishing a general code of practice that could be adopted by member companies – For more information please contact AmCham's offices)

AmCham.organized a preliminary meeting with OSAC (Overseas Security Advisory Council). The purpose of teh meeting was to establish an OSAC committee in Lebanon, put goals, support and establish liaisons between U.S. businesses to help them keep an update on security issues.
