Word of Chairman
The AmCham was announced in 1998 by William Daley, Secretary of Commerce during his visit to Beirut. It was officially launched in January 2000 by Molly Williamson, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East and Africa at the Department of Commerce.
Since then, the Chamber has gone miles forward, and its activities towards promoting business with the U.S. have been quite diversified.
AmCham believes in the development of strong relations between Lebanon and the United States. It is proud to be part of the AmChams network affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC, and a member of the Amcham MENA Council, as well as a successful entity with great relations with the Lebanese Professional Associations.
Our biggest assets are our members. It is their continuous involvement and participation that allows us to move ahead. We hope that this website will be useful to them and that it will improve communication between our AmChams, all of its members and the business community at large.
